With our busy lifestyles our bedrooms
seem to become our last priority

Here I have some tips to update and
liven up your bedroom.

THEME

♥ Find a pattern or style that intrigues you.

For me I am currently obsessed with the
damask/baroque style. The black
and white says sophistication while
still being simple and elegant. No matter
what your theme is find simple ways to
incorporate it into your room without
it being overpowered.

BEDDING

♥ Update your bedding

Find simple bedding with elegant trimming
and add to it with lots of cushions/pillows in
similar colours. Or go all out and use a major
part of your theme as a bed pattern. Either
way your bed is a large part of your room it
shouldn't be neglected.

CANDLES

Candles not only add to the look of a
bedroom they can also make a room smell
amazing

Whether its tealights or huge scented candles the
light/smell given off is beautiful and adds something
extra

CURTAINS

♥ Curtains can be placed in numerous ways
around the room and can incorporate your theme

A faux bed head, canopy style, on your windows,
or in your doorway, curtains are a simple yet pretty
way to dress up your bedroom

FLOWERS

♥ Fake flowers in a clear vase is an eye catcher
in any room

To spice up your room add a variety of different
coloured flowers in a vase to your bedside table
or vanity.

There are soooo many brushes on the market these days.
Crease this, flat shader that no wonder the confusion.
I'm here to give you a basic insight into the main brushes
needed to help you achieve your everyday look.

Foundation Brush

Everyone applies foundation differently
For me sometimes I just apply it with my fingers
These are two of the most common forms of brush
for applying foundation.

The first is a basic brush in which you simply apply it
to the brush or face and spread over the face evenly
and blend out any lines

The second is the recently popular "stippling brush"
The technique used for this one is gently dipping the
bristles into the foundation and patting onto the ski.n
The dots on your face achieved from this brush give
a airbrushed and flawless look, but I have found from
experience it takes time and patience to master this
technique and I would personally leave it until you
feel more confident in your skills.

Powder/Blush/Bronzer Brush

The first brush is called a Kabuki brush and due
to its large surface area it is perfect for applying
an all over powder foundation or setting powder.
This can also be used for blush and bronzer when
wanting to achieve a warm glowy look but for more
precision especially when only wanting the blush
on the apple of your cheeks or the bronzer for
contouring I would opt for a brush similar to the
second one

Eyeshadow Brush

Your basic everyday eye shadow brush is one
of the most versatile brushes you can have.
It allows you to apply eye shadow in numerous
ways. Simply patting the colour or swiping the
shadow onto the lids even apply colour to
the crease in wind shield wiper motions, an
all rounder brush like this is essential.

Eyebrow/Lash Comb
Combing stray brow hairs or lashes or even
combing mascara to ensure no clumps this
brush is an every day essential.

Eyeliner/Eyebrow Brush
This brush can be used in numerous
ways. Applying gel eyeliner, eyeshadow
liner or simply filling in brows. This brush
comes in handy when you need it the most
